The codice fiscale is a code assigned to every Italian or foreign citizen for tax purposes and is needed to rent a room or property.
Here are the options available to obtain the codice fiscale in an easy way:
- Italian embassy or consulate in your country: you can request the codice fiscale by visiting the Italian embassy or consulate in person or online via the website of the embassies that offer this service.
- Agenzia delle Entrate in Italia: you can go to your nearest Agenzia delle Entrate office with your identity card/passport and visa/permit to stay (if necessary) to request the tax code. The procedure is quick and completely free of charge.
- Delegate Joivy: you can authorize us to request the tax code for you! At the onboarding process in the App, specifically in the section >Personal details under >Legal > Tax code detail, by flagging >I do NOT have my tax code yet.
You will need to download the F24 form and the proxy form, then re-upload them with your signature. We will send you the tax code (codice fiscale) via email once it's available!
The tax code issued by the Agenzia delle Entrate is the only valid and accepted one. Other versions obtained from unauthorised websites will not be accepted.
